Fashion First celebrates 10 years of spectacular runway shows

The annual Fashion First runway show will return on September 11th and this year's theme is fashion, fun and firefighters. Executive Producer Joan Kelly has another amazing evening in store and has chosen Inspire Youth Project as this year's beneficiary. Inspire Youth Project provides long-term sustainable support to children who are affect by HIV/AIDS. The runway show line-up includes La Ree, Blue Luna, Elizabeth Roberts, David Lawrence, Ketch, Mercer, Ragamoffyns and more.

The details
The show will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Showbox Sodo. Doors open at 6pm for VIP guests and 7:30pm for general admission. The runway show starts at 8pm. The evening will also include an auction with proceeds benefiting Inspire Youth Project. There will also be a special surprise at the event for David Lawrence who is celebrating 20 years in business.

The dress code
"Wear the hottest thing you own," says Joan Kelly. In other words, dress to impress in cocktail attire and really, really ridiculously good shoes. Preferred colors that fit this year's theme include pink, red and purple.

The tickets
This year's Fashion First runway show tickets start at $50 for general admission (standing room only) and go up to $500 for Ultra VIP tickets. There are a few ticket specials this year to make note of including the "double deal steals". See the ticket page for more info. Joan and I go way back, so this year we are offering a special promo code to save you $20 off any ticket type. Simply use promo code "Gossip" at check-out to receive the discount. Enjoy!

The final word
There are many runway fashion shows here in Seattle. Many of them come and go. This show is the real deal and has been a staple in the Seattle fashion community highlighting indie designers and local boutiques since 2005. If you want to really explore the Seattle fashion scene, come by, stay for a drink, enjoy the runway show and most importantly, shop local.

The end.
